Wine Review: This wine finished in 2nd place in our blind tasting of Italian Red varietals. This cloudy dark purple wine opens with a wonderful blueberry and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this medium to full bodied wine is balanced, has a dry mouthfeel, and shows concentrated dusty blackberry flavors with hints of dark chocolate and oak. The finish is dry, slightly tannic, and lingers. The panel felt this wine would pair nicely with veal marsala or a grilled Angus burger with mushrooms and Swiss cheese. Enjoy – KWGTP
