Wine Review: This wine won the recommendation from our mini tasting panel in our recent blind tasting of indigenous Italian red wines. This wine is almost black in color. On the nose, this wine shows an interesting bouquet of black olive and cocoa aroma’s with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is round, easy to drink, with palate coating black current flavors with hints of black raspberry and oak. The finish is dry and has mild tannins that dissipate quickly. The panel felt this wine would pair nicely with beef stew. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby red in color with violet reflections. Aromas of cherry and prune fruit followed by light spice, rosemary herb, and vanilla are repeated on he palate. Solid southern Italian fruit with a medium-to-full body. Best served with savory first courses, red meat and game, and mature cheeses.
