Wine Review: This Chardonnay was clearly my favorite Chardonnay of all those tried on our recent trip to the Finger Lakes in upstate NY. This wine opens with a pleasant fruit bouquet with hints of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is exceptionally smooth, nicely balanced, and has pleasant pear like flavors. The finish has nice finesse and is quite easy going. It is a terrific food friendly Chardonnay and is versatile enough to pair well with chicken, fish, or seafood dishes. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine is elegant and luscious. It offers rich butterscotch, lemon, and anise flavors, which yield to a lovely melon and apple finish. The judicious use of both American and French oak barrels provides a creamy vanilla aroma, and a lingering mouthfeel. . Ideal with lobster or crab dishes, or with chicken or fish in cream sauce.
