Wine Review: This very dark purple wine opens with a deep black cherry bouquet. On the palate, the wine is smooth, dry, very well balanced, has fine tannins, and is elegant. This is a wonderful option to serve with steak. The finish is very very dry and nicely prolonged. This is one of the best red wines we tried on our Finger Lakes trip. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Eastern Red-Spotted Newt (Notophthalmus viridescens viridescens) is a very common and exquisitely beautiful amphibian in the Finger Lakes. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc is anything but common. Fine, ripe tannins complement stunning fruit characters to make a wine of elegant structure and grace. The traditional Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Elegant, rich & complex, with ripe tannins and stunning fruit. RS 0.1% TA 7g/l pH 3.6
