Wine Review: I think as time goes on you will find that some of the best red wines from the Finger Lakes region will be red blends. This is one of those wines that really shows that potential. This dark red wine opens with a mild berry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is round, big, and fruit forward. This has blackberry and milk chocolate flavors. The finish is very dry and quite tannic. This wine will benefit and reward the owner with a little time in the cellar. If you can’t resist it now, go for it with a thick grilled NY Strip steak cooked with a dollop of butter. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Robust, hints of coffee and leather, tones of dark fruit, currant and blackberry. Long finish.
