Wine Review: This wine opens with a pleasant oak bouquet with hints of vanilla. This is a result of the winemaker using New York state oak barrels. A nice local touch, with a positive overall effect. On the palate, the wine is nicely balanced and has butter apple flavors. The finish is dry and a touch tingly. A nice effort from Lakewood in a region that does struggle with Chardonnay. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2005 Chardonnay's soft toasty nose is complimented by mouthwatering aromas of vanilla, butter and toast. The perfect balance of fruit and acid make this Chardonnay a food friendly wine. Elegantly dry, this plushly textured wine blossoms with rich creamy foods (anything with an alfredo sauce or butter steamed seafood).
