Wine Review: This Washington Merlot recently won our June Merlot blind tasting. This wine was 1 of 2 Washington Merlots that rocked the competition by taking the top 2 spots in the tasting. The wine opens with a retrained mild spicy bouquet with a hint of black fruit. On the palate, the wine is smooth as silk, well balanced, and has expressive cherry and spice flavors. The finish is refined, shows fine tannins, and is nicely prolonged. This wine is top shelf and we recommend you seek it out. Cheers – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Cab? Syrah? NO. Try Merlot - offering up a nose of cherry-tobacco and cardamom scented chocolate, evolving into intense black cherries with pillow-soft tannins before pushing out a touch of plum and a small, unlit, fresh hand rolled cigar...ette.
