Review: Magnolia Place We enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia Place Bed and Breakfast overlooking Seneca Lake in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine region. We stayed in the lovely lilac suite featuring a romantic gas fire place, floor to ceiling windows, a private bath with a Jacuzzi for two, an inviting sitting area, and a queen sized four-poster canopy bed. We loved our suite. There are 8 beautiful suites in all at the Magnolia Place B&B to choose from.

Our friendly hosts at the Magnolia Place B&B were Terri and Ted. Both mornings they made our delicious country breakfasts in their beautiful spacious kitchen. We had breakfast at nine o'clock and enjoyed the company of the other couples who were staying at the bed and breakfast. Like the other guests, we were visiting the Finger Lakes wine region and planning our wine tasting stops for the day. It was fun to meet the other couples and share our wine tasting experiences. We also enjoyed learning about the Finger Lakes wine region from our gracious hosts, Terri and Ted.

Magnolia Place Our first breakfast at Magnolia Place was a real treat. We were served one of Terri and Ted’s specialties: puffed oven-baked pancakes with a sprinkling of powdered sugar and fresh fruit on top, also known as "Dutch Babies" or "Bismarks." The "Dutch Babies" were mouthwatering good. The pancakes were served with fresh fruit, eggs, ham, juice, and coffee. The "Dutch Babies" were so delicious I had to take a photo (see the picture above).

Magnolia Place Our second breakfast was also a delicious treat. We enjoyed our blueberry French toast, egg soufflé and sausages (see the picture to the right). The country breakfasts served at the Magnolia Place Bed and Breakfast were simply delicious. They looked and tasted fantastic.

The Magnolia Place B&B offers a relaxing atmosphere with tasty food. Each afternoon we enjoyed fresh home made cookies and tea. The grounds at the Magnolia Place Bed and Breakfast are very attractive – especially as you sit on the big wrap around porch with a beautiful panoramic view of Seneca Lake.

We loved the Magnolia Place Bed and Breakfast. It is the perfect getaway with its peaceful, bucolic location overlooking Seneca Lake and surrounded by nearby vineyards and wineries. Our hosts, Terri and Ted were friendly and helpful. They also make the best breakfasts in the area. There are dozens of wineries nearby to visit and a beautiful lake to enjoy. In addition, the area offers plenty of places to hike such as the Watkins Glen State Park where many of the best waterfalls are found. We recommend the Magnolia Place Bed and Breakfast for anyone looking for a relaxing get away – especially wine and food lovers.
