Wine Review: This ruby colored quaffer from down under opens with a black raspberry and black cherry bouquet with a touch of musty earthiness. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black plum with notes of juicy black cherry. There was also a touch of black currant and black licorice detected as well. The finish is dry and its subtle mild oak tannins are easy to handle. This wine is a food friendly everyday red that is also very affordable. It would be a pleasant low cost glass pour to serve with a barbecue chicken sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: An aromatic nose is of ripe fruits, christmas pudding, white pepper corns, and boiled rhubarb notes. The approachable palate is dominated by red berries, licorice, and savoury notes with lovely soft tannins and herbal edges. Its softness and balance of fruit and tannin make it extremely approachable at this young age.
