Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Zuccardi is Excellent! It opens with a faint lime and honeydew melon bouquet with hints of wet concrete, apple mash, and honey. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, elegant, and graceful. The flavor profile is gentle lemon tea and chalky minerality blend with notes of green apple and almond pastry. We also detected hints of lime zest and white peach. The finish is dry, and its refined flavors and acidity linger for quite a while before drifting away. We would drink this sophisticated Chard on its own, as it reminded us of a top champagne without the bubbles. With food we would pair this Chard with oysters or Ken’s pear salad. Enjoy - KWGTP
