Wine Review: This hazy dark ruby colored Malbec from Zuccardi opens with a blackberry and cigarette tobacco bouquet with hints of grilled plum and imported ground coffee. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and savory. The flavor profile is plum and acai berry blend with notes of gravel and blackberry. We also detected hints of oolong tea, pomegranate, and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its dusty fine tannins build-up and linger a bit. This Malbec benefits greatly aeration, so decant it for a while in the near term before pairing it with a grilled bison burger or teriyaki salmon. Enjoy – KWGTP
