Wine Review: This opaque dark purple colored Malbec from Zuccardi opens with a boysenberry and cassis bouquet with hints of chocolate, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and wet clay. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, supple, and well-structured. The flavor profile is spiced black plum and green tea blend with notes of gentle tobacco and black raspberry. We also detected hints of graphite and blueberry. The finish is dry, and its refined gentle tannins build-up and linger for a very long time. We would enjoy this beautiful and sophisticated Malbec on its own. With food we would pair it with The Capital Grille’s Kona-crusted dry aged bone-in New York strip steak with shallot butter. Enjoy - KWGTP
