Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Malbec based blend opens with a fragrant boysenberry and oak bouquet with a hint of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, round and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty refined mineral influenced black plum and craisin blend with notes of black tea. I also detected some hints of red raspberry and dark chocolate in the background. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins build-up and linger for a while. This wine benefits from air, as it brings out its fruit. I would decant it in the near term and serve it with Tyler Florence’s beef brisket. Enjoy - Ken
