Wine Review: This pale straw colored Torrontes from Zuccardi was well received by those that tried it. It opens with a peach and mild orange bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a light lemon with notes of integrated minerality. I also detected hints of tangerine, green melon, and a touch of ginger. The finish is dry and pleasantly refreshing. This Torrontes paired perfectly with the mussels escabeche with saffron, peppers and parsley. It was a very nice way to start off our wine dinner Red Raven in Acton. Enjoy. - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense yellow-green color. Delicate and unique nose, full of white flowers such as roses and citrus blossom. Also notes of mature white fruits and citrus zest. The wine is well structured with a lively acidity but remains centered around the aromatic intensity and delicate finish.
