Wine Review: This very very dark scarlet colored Malbec from Zuccardi opens with a plum, wet moss and earth like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a chalky mineral infused plum and blackberry blend with notes of gentle old oak and a hint of anise. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity and mild tannins drift away nicely. This Malbec is refined and very food friendly. I would pair it with a pan-seared flat iron steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense red black color. Complex nose that highlight ripe black and red fruit aromas; subtle spicy notes. Firm and mature tannins that give structure to the wine. Fresh and elegant due to great acidity. Long finish.
