Wine Review: This pitch black colored Malbec based wine from Zuccardi is Very Good. It opens with a black olive and tar bouquet with a hint of blueberry in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black raspberry with notes of oak and black olive. I also detected hints of black pepper and black plum. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This wine would pair with braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Red-violet color, intense and profound Aroma: Delicate dark fruits like blueberries, cassis, and blackberries. Subtle notes of anise and flowers. In the background, aromas from the oak barrels like cloves, tobacco and spices. Flavor: Solid structure with firm, mature tannins. The acidity makes the wine vivacious and fresh.
