Wine Review: Do you really want to impress your friends? If so, serve them this Malbec based gem from Zuccardi. It is pitch black colored and opens with a blackberry bouquet with notes of black licorice and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious black currant and blackberry blend with nicely integrated oak. I also detected hints of black cherry and faint minerality. The finish is dry and its big tannins are very sticky and last for an extraordinarily long time. This wine would benefit from being decanted in the short term. It is a great value and would be perfect with a cowboy ribeye steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red. Very complex nose outstanding aromas of black fruits such as Blackberries, plums and cherries. Notes to herbs, clove and black pepper. Silky entry with soft and juicy tannins. Very long finish.
