Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark colored Tempranillo from Argentina was a crowd pleaser at a recent party I attended. It opens with blackberry jam bouquet with a hint of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, smooth and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry jam with notes of blackberry and just a touch of gentle old oak. The finish is dry and its sticky dusty tannins are long and lingering. This wine would pair perfectly with a thick cowboy ribeye. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Q Tempranillo shows intense ruby color. The wine offers great ripe fruit aromas such as figs, dried prunes and cherries well integrated with vanilla, coconut, tobacco and smoke notes. Soft entry on the mouth with sikly tannins and balanced acidity. It has a long finish.
