Wine Review: This tasty red blend opens with a spicy blackberry bouquet with a hint of campfire smoke and anise. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, rather juicy, yet rich and concentrated. The flavor profile is a lush blackberry and black cherry with notes of black pepper and black raspberry on the back palate. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are soft and pleasant. This wine is dangerously drinkable and would pair nicely with a rack of messy barbecue ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Each grape variety adds its own personality: Syrah adds flavors of blackberry and ripe tannins; Mourvedre brings notes of blueberry and full mouth-feel; and Grenache adds lush raspberry liqueur flavors. These rich layers of flavor create a wine greater than the sum of its parts and enable it to be enjoyed now or cellar for five to seven years.
