Wine Review: This translucent and light red colored Pinot Noir from ZD opens with a pomegranate and red plum bouquet with faint hints of moist loam. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh and a bit lively. The flavor profile is red plum and black pepper blend with notes of oak and pomegranate. I also detected hints of clove, tobacco, and graphite. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its well-managed moderate dusty tannins are nicely extended. This Pinot benefits from a little aeration, so give it a brief decant.
