Wine Review: This pale golden yellow colored "Reserve" level Chardonnay from ZD opens with a mild poached pear and pineapple cake bouquet with hints of oak, lemon crème, and cantaloupe. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, slightly creamy, refined, and soft. The flavor profile is tasty green apple, chalky minerality, and gentle pineapple blend with notes of vanilla, mango, and white peach. We also detected some hints of Christmas spice and subtle oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely before drifting away. The Tasting Panel would pair this excellent Chard with Emeril's crab cakes or with pan seared scallops in Chardonnay butter sauce. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Aromas of Asian pear and with hints of orange blossom, lemon curd, and sweet, toasty vanilla bean lead to a palate that explodes with forward bright fruit, balanced acidity, and subtle oak notes.
