Wine Review: This dark red colored "Library Selection" Cabernet Sauvignon from ZD opens with a mild black currant and cedar bouquet with hints of tobacco leaf and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, seamless, and easy to enjoy. The flavor profile is mild black cherry and gentle black currant blend with notes of cedar, black tea, and nutmeg. We also detected some hints of graphite. The finish is dry, and its mild polished tannins fade away nicely. This oldie is drinking well right now and ready to go. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a filet mignon in the near term. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine is big and unctuous with a firm structure that gives it excellent aging potential. Aromas of cassis and black cherry mingle with hints of plum, star anise and sweet vanillin. The combination of fruit, oak and tannin integrate seamlessly to provide a long, powerful finish. - Chris Pisani, Senior Winemaker
