Wine Review: This light yellow colored Pinot Blanc from Oregon is very nice. It opens with a citrusy bouquet featuring mild grapefruit and orange along with some ripe pear. On the palate, this wine is more full bodied than most Pinot Blancs. It has a round mouthfeel and is slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused lemon verbena with hints of almond and gentle yellow grapefruit. The finish is pleasantly dry and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a very long time for a white. This Pinot Blanc is a little richer than most. I would pair is with an old New England treat. Baked scallops with a Ritz Cracker topping. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The aromatics begin with Asian pear and citrus lemon. The fruit flavors of lime, grapefruit, and citrus are distinct and crisp. It has a creaminess that allows the wine to linger for long finish. The 2015 vintage is a wonderful complement to food with salads and crab cake being my favorite, as always.
