Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Aussie Grenache opens with a rather fragrant fig, plum, and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very juicy, and displays round soft edges throughout the mouth. Its jammy flavors are a blend of plum and red currant with hints of blackberry and old oak that linger towards the end. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are a tad bit sticky and its fruit lingers as well. This wine would pair well with a tangy pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromatically the wine is very complex with layers of dusty rose petals, freshly oiled leather, cocoa powder, cassis and dark cherries. The palate is extremely layered with blueberry, dark cherries and a complexity of flavour that follows through in the rich mouth-coating palate. The tannins are velvety and voluptuous but silky. The flavours linger and evolve as the wine opens up. This wine is built for the cellar and will drink well into 2020 under the right cellar conditions. Peter Fraser, Winemaker
