Wine Review: A refreshing and spicy Viognier from South Australia! It is a pale golden yellow color and has a perfumed bouquet of honeysuckle, fresh apricot, jasmine, mace, and clove. On the palate, it is dry, rich, medium-plus bodied, moderately acidic, with a creamy and slightly oily mouthfeel. The flavors are a blend of tangerine, apricot, honeydew, green tea, and mild ginger. The finish is spicy, with a slightly bitter note, and lasts for a while. Serve with Penang shrimp curry with jasmine rice or grilled cedar plank salmon. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Bright straw in color with green hues. Aromas of orange blossom with fresh ginger, hints of honeysuckle and white flowers. Fresh apricot, white tea, dried figs and fennel lead to a creamy mid-palate with a silky, textural finish. Best enjoyed with harissa chicken or crispy rice pancakes with potato and chickpeas.
