Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Pinot Blanc from Wittmann opens with a fragrant lemon-lime zest bouquet with hints of wet stone, white peach, and a touch of banana. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and very crisp. The flavor profile is a fine stony minerality and light lime blend with notes of saline and lemon verbena. I also detected hints of vanilla and green apple. The finish dry, and quite refreshing. I would pair this Pinot Blanc with a beach or pool. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A sophisticated and full-bodied Pinot Blanc from limestone-rich vineyards that are farmed biodynamically. The Estate Weisser Burgunder is harvested exclusively from sites in the Rheinhessen village of Westhofen. It is fermented naturally in large, neutral oak casks. This is a serious Pinot Blanc, with excellent density, concentration, and structure.
