Wine Review: This clean and fresh Riesling from the Rheinhessen region in Germany is a pale golden yellow color, and has aromas of nectarine, pecans, wet slate, and pineapple. It is dry, as the name implies, on the palate and is slightly creamy, energetic, and balanced. It is medium bodied with plus acidity. Flavors of peach, green apple, and stony minerality with notes of lemon and saline. The finish is mouthwatering and long, with a touch of peach pit minerality. This is a great weeknight bottle to serve with a rotisserie chicken dinner. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: A lively and beautifully structured white wine from organic vineyards in the rolling hills of the Rheinhessen region. The entry-level “100 Hills” wines are produced from about 40% estate-grown fruit, with the remainder sourced from other local growers who are certified organic by the European Union. The wine displays lively and bright fruit while bringing an extra dimension of texture from maturation in wood. It’s an elegant and invigorating wine that’s excellent for everyday enjoyment.
