Wine Review: This white gold colored Trocken-styled Riesling from Germany opens with a German lager beer and match tip bouquet with hints of quince and green tea. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with zesty medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, juicy, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a white pepper, ginger, and white peach blend with notes of tart white grapefruit and saline. I also detected hints of lemon and orange zest in the aftertaste. The finish lingers nicely and is quite refreshing. I would pair this Riesling with swordfish skewers. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our estate Riesling is a full-time ambassador of its Rheinhessen roots. Grown on the limestone soils of Westhofen, it is an "true" Wittmann. Uncompromising terroir wine - saline - herbal - sleek - yellow, dancing Riesling character.
