Wine Review: This straw-colored Riesling opens with a lime and mild Vaseline bouquet with a hint of ginger. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright and clean. The flavor profile is a lime and lemon blend with notes of ginger. I also detected hints of quince and a touch of saline. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger for a very long time. I would pair this very refreshing Riesling with swordfish skewers. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The entry-level “100 Hills” wines are produced from about 40% estate-harvested fruit, with the remainder sourced from other local growers who are certified organic by the European Union. The fruit is harvested by hand, fermented naturally, and matured in 50% stainless steel tanks and 50% large, neutral wooden casks. This combination retains the lively, bright fruit while bringing an extra dimension of texture from maturation in wood. It’s an elegant and invigorating dry-style Riesling that’s priced for everyday enjoyment.
