Wine Review: This polished dry Riesling from Germany is a medium straw color with golden flecks. Make sure it is not too cold to enjoy the bouquet of a green meadow, florals, stone fruit and wet slate. It has a medium body and medium plus acidity and is dry, refreshing and complex. Flavors start with pear and green apple, with nectarine and minerality following, with a hint of honey on the back end. The zippy finish lasts a long time. This would pair nicely with fried scallops. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: The Wittmann Estate Riesling Trocken is harvested by hand from estate-owned vineyards. The wine shows a deep, stony aroma, with an elegant structure and bright citrus juice that leads to a lingering, piquant finish.
