Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand opens with a very fragrant gooseberry bouquet with hints of lime and yellow grapefruit. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and zesty. The flavor profile is very New Zealand in style. It features gooseberry and lemon-lime flavors with notes of stony minerality and yellow grapefruit pith. I also detected some hints of clementine at the very end. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with a beach on a hot day. Serve chilled and share with friends. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Distinctly Marlborough, Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc is refined and elegant. Mouth-watering, textural acidity and a juicy core of citrus fruit exudes notes of crunchy greens and tropical guava on the nose. Pair with plump, raw oysters, pan seared snapper or with Asian style seafood dishes.
