Wine Review: This white gold colored Gruner Veltliner opens with a mild lime bouquet with a hint of yellow grapefruit. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and nicely balanced between it fruit and acidity. Like the bouquet, the flavor profile features tasty mild lime and yellow grapefruit with hints of lemon verbena. The finish is dry and subtle. This Gruner is food friendly and would pair nicely with grilled scallops. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Yellow straw color; aromas of flowers, peach with white pepper notes, dry, light to medium bodied, well-balanced crisp acidity, with flavors of spice, light herbs and mineral. Drink now and within the next two years. Goes very well with veal and fish specialties. It is an excellent companion to the traditional Austrian cuisine as "Wiener Schnitzel."
