Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Winderlea virtually tied for first place in our recent Big Blind Tasting. It opens with an attractive Dr. Pepper bouquet with notes of cinnamon and cardamom seed. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile is a tasty cherry-cola with hints of coffee, strawberry, stony minerality and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this gem with pork tenderloin or filet mignon. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Always charming and seductive, the 2016 Shea does not disappoint. Notes of black tea, bergamot and grapefruit zest lead to a core of juicy red currants and cherries. The tannins are fine and concentrated and the finish is long.
