Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Oregon opens with a fragrant pineapple, ginger and oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, acidic and crisp. The flavor profile is a new oak influenced pear with notes of lemon and pineapple. I also detected hint of buttered popcorn as well. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This Chardonnay would pair well with chicken francese. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Brilliant, golden straw in color, the 2015 Winderlea Chardonnay shines with a complex blend of aromatics. Citrus pith and wet stone follow through to a palate that is marked by minerality, poached pear, crème brulee, bright lemon and a creamy quality that reinforces subtler notes of toasty brioche. Slightly tropical, the texture and structure of this wine leave a long, perfectly balanced finish.
