Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from the russina River is very nice. It opens with a mild blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly opaque and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a plum and minerality blend with hints of blueberry, cherry-cola and oak. The finish is dry and it flavors and moderate tannins fade away nicely. This Pinot is food friendly and would pair well with pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful aromas of clove, dark chocolate, blackberry, and rose petals demonstrate the unique, bold personality of the Russian River Valley. On the palate, distinct flavors of dark plum, espresso bean, and black licorice lead to a broad, balanced wine with food-friendly acidity. The Russian River’s warm, sunny days and cool foggy nights are optimal for Pinot Noir – the wines have great texture and weight without being overdone or losing their natural acidity. The classic deep, rich, dark aromas and flavors the Russian River is known for, shine through this wine.
