Wine Review: This wine recently won its flight in a tasting of 2007 Russian River Pinots. It is dark red colored and opens with a very attractive smoky red cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and rather silky. The flavor profile is a gentle blend of red cherry and red raspberry with a hint of spice. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger for quite some time. This nice cuvee of Pinot would pair very nicely with salmon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Medium red, but rich in color, the wine presents a bouquet of ripe strawberries, berry cobbler, plums, anise, clove, butterscotch and toasty oak. The palate is layered with flavors of blackberry, cassis, cherry cola, sarsaparilla, toasted bread, minerals and concentrated ripe tannins. Winemaker - Bob Cabral
