Wine Review: This North Coast Chardonnay may be a good summer wine option if you are looking for a wine with some more body than your other summer go to wines. This wine is light to medium bodied and golden straw in color. It has an inviting bouquet of honey, light tropical fruits and a touch of oak. The oak notes carry through on the palate giving this Chardonnay a nice body feel. The smooth and slightly syrupy palate contributes to the body feel with the nice acidity, light pear, honey, herbs and hints of butter providing a balanced palate. I also enjoyed the nice dry finish. If not enjoyed on its own, I would recommend serving with grilled chicken marinated in Italian dressing, topped with melted provolone cheese on a toasted bun with herbed mayonnaise. - Joe
Winemaker Notes: Our bright, medium-textured and food-friendly William Hill Estate North Coast Chardonnay offers fruit-forward notes of ripe melon, mandarin orange, peach and pear, underscored by complex notes of citrus blossom and brown spice. Delicately structured, this well-balanced wine has excellent acidity and a creamy mouthfeel.
