Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored Gewurtz opens with an aromatic Clementine bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly crisp with zippy acidity. The flavor profile is an interesting blend of apricot and lime with hints of peach and lychee. The finish is very dry and lasts for quite a while for this varietal. This wine would pair well with ham dishes. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine opens with aromas of apricots and fresh cantaloupe followed by the fragrance of spring flowers, vanilla and white pepper. The flavors open with bold fruit and bright floral notes, followed quickly by soft flavors of tangerine, stonefruit and cantaloupe, achieving a perfect balance of fruit and acidity. The invigorating full body and mouthfeel lead to a peppery spice finish, with a touch of lingering honeysuckle. Drink now through 2011.
