Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Merlot from Whitehall Lane opens with a mild red currant and cedar bouquet with hints of balsam, mild raspberry, and faint tomato leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and zesty. The flavor profile is red plum and stony minerality blend with notes of oak and toasted coconut. We also detected hints of cashews and pomegranate. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins, acidity, and flavors fade away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this friendly Merlot with juicy Angus Smashburger. Enjoy – KWGTP
