Wine Review: This dark red colored Port from Warre opens with plum and fig aromas along with a hint of spice. On the palate, it is medium to full bodied and juicy. Its flavor profile is a fruity blend of plum and black cherries with hints of vanilla and licorice. It finishes with a touch of heat, but its flavors supersede it and are prolonged and drift away nicely. Dave and Julie would suggest pairing the Warrior Port with camembert or stilton cheese. Winemaker Notes: Dark red color, with a seductive rich perfume of ripe plums and cherries. On the palate it is complex, with an excellent structure and a long, lingering finish. Warrior is delicious served at the end of a meal, with chocolate and rich chocolate desserts, nuts, and cheese.
