Wine Review: This dark ruby colored entry-level Shiraz from Wakefield opens with a stewed red plum and cola bouquet with hints of cinnamon and craisin. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is bright and juicy. The flavor profile is blackberry and red plum blend with notes of cherry-cola and cinnamon. There were also hints of stony minerality mixed in. The finish fades away nicely. This good value Shiraz would pair nicely with your favorite carnitas burrito. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: At release, the wine is deep red with purple hues. It displays vibrant aromas of red currant, plum and a touch of spice. A soft and fleshy Shiraz boasting a lively palate of juicy red berry fruits, plum and spice, along with subtle chocolate and savory characters from the oak maturation. The finish features fine gentle tannins and a soft silky finish.
