Wine Review: I recently tried this wine again and raised my score. This almost clear colored sweet wine from the Finger Lakes opens with a mild ripe apple bouquet with a hint of grapefruit. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced. round and very sweet. The flavor profile is a nice blend of ripe pink grapefruit, ripe pear, and pineapple with notes of honey. The finish remains sweet and its flavors linger for a while. This wine is food friendly for a sweet wine. It would pair well with chicken lo-mien or General Gau's chicken. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Vignoles grapes are well known for producing superior quality sweet wines. This variety traditionally yields a low to moderate crop with extreme ripeness levels that are sweet with high acid levels, Vignoles grapes traditionally yield a sweet wine with intense tropical fruit and honey flavors and aromas, and has a distinct pineapple flavor which carries over into the finish.
