Wine Review: This dark salmon colored wine made from Syrah opens with a mild cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and delicate. The flavor profile is a blend of gentle watermelon and mild chalky minerality with notes of celery and hints of white cherry and a dash of white pepper. This wine is not overly complex, but it is very easy to drink and enjoy because of the harmony between is flavors and acidity. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. This Rose will not last long, especially if served slightly chilled on a hot day. I would pair it with chilled shrimp cocktail. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: One look at this wine and your world goes from black and white to technicolor, a beautiful copper hued salmon. The primary characteristics are strawberry and watermelon with secondary undertones of vanilla, citrus zest, and crunchy greens. A bright crisp mouthfeel and smooth long finish. The alcohol is 10.4% by volume, great to enjoy while having a Winnie the Pooh day, counting clouds. Pairs well with just about everything on your picnic including prosciutto and melon, pizza, green salads, or chilled pasta salads.
