Wine Review: On my visit to Vine Cliff this summer, this wine was my favorite from their lineup. This very dark purple offering opens with a ripe black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry and blackberry blend. There are notes of black licorice as well. The finish is dry and its managed tannins drift away nicely. Enjoy this fine wine with filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aroma: Concentrated and spicy, with intense layering of black fruit, blackberry and cassis, topped with touches of vanilla, toast, and dried herbs. On the palate: Powerful and ripe with currant, blackberry and cassis flavors. Rich and mouth-filling, with great presence; supple tannins lead into a long, lingering finish. The perfect cabernet to serve with candlelight.
