Wine Review: This Paul Hobbs influenced wine from Argentina is outstanding. It won a mini-tasting that we conducted very easily. It is a slightly opaque dark ruby colored wine. It opens with an attractive red currant and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and super silky. The flavor profile is a very impressive black raspberry with notes of black pepper and black cherry. The finish is dry and its well managed fine tannins are very nicely prolonged. This Malbec is graceful and shows a lot of finesse. It would be a perfect companion to filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This viscous, violet-hued malbec is perfumed with raspberry and black pepper. The mouth-coating palate unfolds in concentrated, finely textured layers of dark fruits, licorice and underbrush that are enhanced by hints of vanillin and roasted coffee over a lengthy finish graced with firm tannins and spicy notes.
