Wine Review: This pitch black colored wine opens with an intense blackberry and old leather bouquet with a hint of cedar. On the palate, this Petite Verdot based wine is full bodied, fruit forward, savory, and rich. The flavor profile is a plump ripe blackberry with notes of black licorice, black currant with a dash of black pepper and spice. The finish is dry and it well managed moderate oak tannins are slightly prolonged. If you like Petit Verdot based wines; then you will really enjoy this wine. I would pair this wine with Veal medallions with shitake mushrooms in a brown butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
