Wine Review: This slightly opaque and deep purple colored Malbec from Viña Cobos is very good! It opens with a ripe blackberry and gentle tobacco bouquet with hints of violet and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. This wine fully coats your mouth. It is balanced, slightly viscous, and round. The flavor profile is tasty blackberry and black plum blend with notes of cocoa powder and stone dust. I also detected hints of oak, blueberry, and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its managed moderate tannins are nicely restrained and linger nicely. I would pair this Malbec with a roasted duck breast with a plum sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby red color with violet tones. Aromas of red fruit, plum, graphite and floral note. The palate is round and balanced, with sweet and juicy tannins.
