Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Malbec from Viña Cobos opens with a fragrant black raspberry and cherry-vanilla bouquet with hints of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a concentrated black raspberry and oak blend with notes of stewed plum and vanilla. I also detected hints of bay leaf, crush stone, and cilantro. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and mild tannins are nicely prolonged. This fruity Malbec would pair well marinated steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red with violet reflections. Aromas of red and black fruits with notes of sweet spices. On the palate it has concentration and sweet tannins. Final length.
