Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and dark purple colored Malbec Vina Cobos opens with a black licorice and malted milk chocolate bouquet with hints of blueberry and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round and smooth. The flavor profile is an extracted boysenberry and blackberry blend with notes of crushed stone and stewed black plum. I also detected hints of cinnamon, black cherry, anise, and cedar. The finish is dry and its moderate well-managed tannins drift away nicely. This Malbec would pair very nicely with a duck confit crostini with parsnip puree and fig. Enjoy – Ken
