Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Malbec from Vina Cobos opens with a sugar plum and black currant bouquet with a hint of toasted coconut and anise. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with balanced acidity. We also found it to have a wonderful round and juicy mouthfeel. The flavor profile is raspberry coulis and Maraschino cherry blend with notes of sugar plum. We also detected hints of mocha powder and cola. The finish is delicate and its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely. This Malbec is ready to go and would pair nicely with a filet mignon with grilled veggies. Enjoy – Ken & Rick
